When I was a youngster taking piano lessons, I never wanted to play pop music - it was classical or the highway! But I think I was special because while getting ready for the Spring Recital, I discovered that the kids loved playing songs that they recognized from movies and games. And lucky us, Alfred just started publishing "Pop and Movie Hits", a supplementary book to follow their core curriculum. I've already bought the book for Tanner Little and Allie Bruce and so far they seem to love it! So if your kids would like to trade out Technique for Pop and Movie Hits, or just add Pop and Movie Hits to the books they already use, great! It makes practicing a LOT more fun!
